Supervisor Training

Despite drug testing your employees, it’s still important to be watchful for potential signs of drug and alcohol misuse so that you can schedule reasonable suspicion testing as needed. Each supervisor of employees who perform safety-sensitive functions is legally required to undergo drug misuse recognition training. “A Supervisor’s Guide to Reasonable Suspicion Training” covers everything supervisors need to know—from signs and symptoms of drug misuse to confrontation procedures to the testing process. This 2-hour online training course is available immediately. Classroom training is available on request.

Designated Employer Representative (DER) Training

In DOT-regulated industries, the Designated Employer Representative is someone who has been specially trained and authorized to take immediate action regarding the drug and alcohol violations of an employee in a safety-sensitive position. The responsibilities and duties of the DER are outlined in 49 CFR Part 40. These include receiving the test results, making decisions regarding testing and evaluation processes, and removing employees from safety-sensitive positions. Every DOT-regulated company must have at least one DER. Our online drug-free workplace training program for DERs is thorough and comprehensive, covering all of the information that a DER needs to know.

Breath Alcohol Technician (BAT) Training

When an employer requests a DOT-required alcohol test, it must be performed by a qualified Breath Alcohol Technician. Our professional training team is available to certify technicians as required and outlined in 49 CFR Part 40. Our training program for BATs is available via a classroom course. It covers everything BATs need to know, from legal requirements to proper testing and calibration procedures. Additionally, AZC Drug Testing is an authorized dealer with Lifeloc Technologies. We offer equipment sales, equipment operations and calibration certification and supplies for Lifeloc products.

All employees of DOT-regulated companies, whether they perform safety-sensitive functions or not, are legally required to receive drug and alcohol awareness training. Our online course explores the physical, mental, and other effects of drug and alcohol misuse. It covers all of the most commonly misused drugs, including club drugs and inhalants.
